Kevin Matthews, the former Chicago radio celebrity, whose miraculous story of healing and conversion came through a broken statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary that he found in a dumpster, and as told in the film and book, “Broken Mary,” stopped by our parish of Annunciation this week. Kevin has kindly loaned the actual Broken Mary statue to our parish today and through this weekend.
Our church, as always, will be open for prayer and devotion to “Broken Mary.” A brief service of consolation to the Mother of God will be prayed this Sunday at Annunciation parish at the end of the Divine Liturgy. Please make this special opportunity known to family and friends and invite them to come and bring their own petitions for healing and consolation to “Broken Mary.”
