Stars & Stripes Concert – July 4th 2026

Southwest Community Concert Band will present a free 4th of July Community Concert at Annunciation Church on July 4th, 2026 from 4pm to 6pm.  We invite the community to celebrate Independence Day with an afternoon of live music and patriotic spirit.  This community event is open to everyone, and all are welcome to attend.  The concert will feature a variety of music appropriate for the holiday, offering families, friends, and neighbors a chance to gather and enjoy a festive afternoon together.
For many people, the Fourth of July is a time to reflect on the history, traditions, and shared ideals of the United States.  Music has always played an important role in those celebrations, form patriotic marches ot familiar American favorites that bring audiences together across generations.
Guests are encouraged to bring family and friends and enjoy an afternoon of music in celebration of America’s Independence Day.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and a cooler with drinks and snacks.  A local food truck will also be on site providing tacos and a concession stand will also be available for a sweet or salty snack as well as a cool drink to wash it all down.
During intermission and following the concert, we will be offering tours of our award winning prairie.  Take a walk through our sustainable environment during the peak of the summer colors.  You can also step into the church and be immersed in floor to ceiling painting that tell the story of Christ in line and color.
An open dance floor will be provided by our friends at Theology of the Dance.  Enjoy a spin around the dance floor or take a quick lesson to improve your moves.
